2020 Graduation

Dear Parents/Guardians,
We know that this has been a trying time for Parents and Graduates and we hope you are safe and healthy at home. We have been working hard behind the scenes to ensure that we honor our graduates and this milestone in their lives.

Due to the limitations put on us by Riverside County, we will be altering our 2020 Graduation Ceremony in June.

All Juniors and Seniors who are currently taking classes via our curriculum packets must turn in all packets by May 29, 2020, and the packets must be completed with 60% grade in each class to participate in the graduation ceremony.

Cap and Gowns have been ordered for all students who were not able to pre-order their gowns. The cap and gowns are in transit and as soon as they arrive we will be contacting the graduate families with a date to pick them up.

We have teamed up with Palo Verde High School to honor our graduates with graduation banners that will be displayed down Hobsonway the week of Graduation.

If you would like to display your own personal banners, you may drop them off on

Monday, June 1, 2020, at Twin Palms and we will display them in front of our school on the day of graduation.

We have also designed graduation t-shirts and yard signs which will be given to them at the drive-thru ceremony to commemorate their special day.

Our graduation this year will be a condensed version of our normal, ”Scott Stadium” Graduation. We will be setting up a smaller stage in front of Twin Palms where we will be holding the ceremony. This will be a Drive-Thru individual ceremony.

Below you will find all of the information on how this ceremony will take place:

  • Each student, along with no more than four family members, will drive their vehicle to Scott Stadium, park facing East, and Parallel to the yellow Child Development Center.
  • A Staff member will be there to make sure that you are in order by the last name.
  • You will then be notified that it is your turn and proceed right onto Lovekin. Then at Chanslorway you will again turn right and drive to the front of the school.
  • Students must have a personal face covering and gloves that must be worn during the ceremony.
  • Students will be guided to the commencement stage area where they will be filmed as they walk onto the stage to be greeted (no handshaking) by their principal and handed a diploma cover.
  • After receiving their diploma cover, they will have the opportunity to remove their face covering and have their picture taken by a professional photographer.
  • Students will be given their commemorative yard sign and t-shirt.
  • Students will then walk to the backdrop and up to four family members – with protective face coverings – may take pictures from the designated safe area.
  • Students and families will then proceed back to their cars and proceed west on Chanslorway.

Virtual Graduation Ceremony Film footage of students receiving their diploma cover will be edited, along with their principal’s message, senior speeches, and other commencement performances for the Twin Palms Continuation High School and will be available the following week.
